Have you heard about TxtaTip?

TxtaTip allows you to report a friend in trouble, a party, crime or suspicious activity to the police by texting an anonymous message to them. Here's how it works:
Step 1
Send text to: 274637 or C-R-I-M-E-S
Step 2
Start your text message with the Keyword ICARE.
Then type your message and send it.
Step 3
In a few seconds, you'll receive a message confirmation
on your cell phone with an anonymous Alias ID.
That's it!
You just helped a friend in danger or stopped a crime.
NOTE: If it's a true emergency, call 9-1-1.

MCYAF sponsored its 2nd annual Project Sticker Shock on April 13, 2011 -- a huge success!
Teams of 80 youth with 24 adult chaperones from Des Plaines, Park Ridge and Niles were out in force at retail stores in Maine Township on Wednesday, April 13th to place stickers on packages of alcoholic beverages. The stickers and signs warn adults who purchase alcohol that it is illegal to provide alcohol for anyone under the age of 21.
Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word to adults in our community that it's important to keep kids safe.
