MCYAF Welcomes New Executive Director

MCYAF Goes to Washington


MCYAF's Teri Collins & Cheryll DeYoung met with Andrew Goczkowski, legislative aide
for Rep. Jan Schakowsky, in Washington, D.C. on February 6, 2013.

MCYAF's Dr. Teri Collins and Cheryll DeYoung attended the 23rd annual Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America National Leadership Forum in Washington D.C. from February 4-7. They joined more than 2,000 substance abuse prevention specialists and advocates from across the country, and participated in workshops and plenary sessions with experts at the local, state, and federal levels.

The Park Ridge Rotary generously donated $1500 to MCYAF to be used for marketing posters and messages to parents and other adults about how they can help prevent teen alcohol and drug use.

Park Ridge Approves Changes for Teen Alcohol & Drug Violations
Park Ridge City Council approved changes in policy for underage drinking and drug violations, based on recommendations from MCYAF with Park Ridge Police. Teens caught using alcohol or drugs in Park Ridge now have fewer choices. The changes went into effect October 20, 2012. Read full news release.
